THE 20TH JODHPUR POLO SEASON MAKES THE CHRISTMAS DAY MERRIER WITH TWO SPECIAL EXHIBITION MATCHES!

It was the Christmas Day at the 20th Jodhpur Polo Season, 2019 with two Exhibition matches scheduled to celebrate the merry day! The first match of the day was H.H. Maharaja Hanwant Singh Cycle Polo Exhibition match played between Warriors and Knights. The players were introduced as Warriors in white were ready to take on Knights in black. Mr. Kalu Ram and Mr. Poonam Chand were the umpires for the match and Apji Vijay Singh was the commentator for the match. Following this Unique Exhibition, Bhanwar Baijilal Vaare Rajye Polo Cup (18 Goals) Exhibition match was played between The Power Puffs and Frozen Blues. Mr. Nicholas Scortichini and Kr. Dhananjay Singh Rathore were the umpires for the match and Col. Umaid Singh was the referee. Th. Sidharth Singh Rohet and Mr. Ankur Mishra were the commentators for the match.

WARRIORS DEFEATS KNIGHTS IN THE H.H. MAHARAJA HANWANT SINGH CYCLE POLO EXHIBITION MATCH

The first chukker started with Warriors on a move. Vijai Kant Nayak scored a hat-trick with Pramod Kumar adding two goals for Warriors. No goal was scored by Knights as the first chukker scores were:

Second chukker gripped up the pace of the game and the excitement was increasing as the players tussled rigorously pushing their cycles cutting the angles. Deepak Kumar and Vijai Kant Nayak both scored one goal each for Warriors as Dhiraj Nayak scored an opener for the Knights winding the second chukker scores at:

The third chukker had Knights coming back to put on some show with Dhiraj Nayak and Jeetu both scoring one goal each for the Knights. No goal was scored for the Warriors. The scores at the end of third chukker were:

The fourth and final chukker had R.K. Kartikeya Singh scoring one goal for the Knights. The Warriors overcame the Knights by 7 goals to 4 as the final scoreboard was:

H.H. Maharaja Gaj Singhji of Jodhpur and Col. Umaid Singh, Hony. Secretary, Jodhpur Polo & Equestrian Club Institution, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur presented the awards and trophy to the winning and runner up teams.

 

THE POWER PUFFS CONQUERS FROZEN BLUES IN BHANWAR BAIJILAL VAARA RAJYE POLO CUP EXHIBITION MATCH

 

The second exhibition match of the day was battled between The Power Puffs playing in yellow and the Frozen Blues playing in white. The beloved Little Princess of Jodhpur Bhanwar Baijilal Vaare Rajye threw in the ball to commence the match.

The match commenced with H.H. Jaipur, Pacho scoring the first goal for the Power Puffs. Gerardo Mazzini scored the second by converting a 30 yard penalty by a direct hit as Pacho added the third one for their team as no goal was scored by the Frozen Blues with the scores at the end of first chukker at:

The second chukker began with Gerardo Mazzini scoring a goal from a direct lofty shot from a standing position at an acute angle from the goal post for the Power Puffs. Dhruvpal Goadara converted a 30 yard penalty for the Frozen Blues with Angad Kalaan hitting on a striking goal in a running swift winding the second chukker scores at:

The third chukker was a heated up battle between both the teams. Pacho Jaipur showing his class scored a goal taking the ball all by himself for the Power Puffs and Gerardo Mazzini adding up another one to their lead. For the Frozen Blues, Angad Kalaan, Siddhant Sharma and Dhruvpal Godara scored one goal each to come back on the scoreboard as the scores stood at:

The fourth and final chukker anticipated the spectators with a to and fro possession between both the teams attempting to score. Dhruvpal Godara scored the equalizer for the Frozen blues but it was H.H., Jaipur Padmanabh Singh’s day as he scored his fourth and fifth of the match to lead his team to victory with an overall score of 8 goals to 6 in an enticing clash.
