Cavalry Gold Cup- Progressing Into Day II
The second day Cavalry Gold Cup got in action on a light breezy and sunny afternoon with the teams ready for the action to begin.
MATCH 1: ARAVALI POLO vs 61st CAVALRY

The first match of the day got into action with an instant energy and enthusiasm with both the teams coming down at 3:00pm with true sportsman spirit. As soon as the umpire threw the ball in, the players from both teams strategically got on with the play. With a quick action taking over the ground, Lt Col Vishal Chauhan went on for the first goal of the match. At this the scoreboard came live for 61st Cavalry. Getting once again into action, Akshai Malik took the chance and scored the second goal of the match and the first for Aravali Polo. As the chukker went ahead towards the end, the umpire called off for a penalty in favor of Aravali Polo. With this, the first chukker ended at 2 goals to 1.

The second chukker of the first match of the day only intensified the spirit of the players. With greater speed and growing zeal, they came down to get into action once again. The closely tied match and equally close teams heated the ground as 61st Cavalry scored their second goal with Lt Col Vishal Chauhan taking the lead. The game got tough with the scoreboard going neck to neck. And with this, 61st Cavalry gave another chance to Aravali Polo with a penalty shot that Roddy Williams turned into a score. It was followed by yet another goal by Roddy for his team. The match went ahead and at just the dying second, Capt Raghav Raj scored the third goal for 61st Cavalry. With this, the chukker ended with yet another closely tied performance.

After the mid break, the match got into action once again. With the clock clicking and players trying to bring in the difference in the score, the game galloped towards half time without any changes on the scoreboard. It was in fact only in the last 27 seconds that Roddy Williams from Aravali Polo scored the fifth goal for his team.

Before the fourth chukker, the ground turned into a quick giggle with the audience enjoying a slight cold evening over a polo match. The match resumed with the Referee coordinating with the Umpires after which at the call of the whistle, both teams came down in the ground. For almost a minute the chukker did not see any change on the scoreboard, but as the clock moved on, team Aravali Polo gained another goal in form of penalty with Roddy Williams in action. Moving ahead team 61st Cavalry gave tough competition to the opponent team with great defense. But this could not stop Siddhant Sharma from Aravali Polo to bag the seventh goal for the team. At this, the chukker halted for the change of horses. Resuming the action, Siddhant Sharma once again scored for his team. With this, the chukker was left only with 1minute and 55seconds. But no more goals were witnessed and Aravali Polo claimed victory under their name.

MATCH 2: HORSE & WAGON/ASCENSION vs RAJNIGANDHA ACHIEVERS

With Aravali Polo naming victory to themselves in the first match, it was now the time for Match 2 to begin.
The match got into the first chukker and team Horse & Wagon were granted an advantage of 0.5 goals. Within no time Shamsheer Ali grabbed the first goal for his team. This was followed by two consecutive goals from Basheer Ali for team Rajnigandha Achievers. This was quickly complimented by Daniel Otamendi as he bagged the third goal for his team. But keeping the spirit high and competent Shamsheer Ali hit a beautiful long shot turning it into a goal. Galloping ahead into the game Basheer Ali grabbed the second goal for Horse & Wagon with which the chukker ended.

Getting into the second chukker of the match, both the teams started to look forward towards grabbing the maximum scores. The chukker started with Basheer Ali grabbing the first goal of the chukker. This was within some time followed by Pacho's dedicated goal for his team. With this, the team remained in quick action and was motivated with Daniel's goal. And as if the team Rajnigandha Achievers were on fire, Pacho bagged yet another goal for his team.

The third chukker remained in a similar spirit with which the second chukker ended. Daniel opened the chukker with a score for his team. This was quickly followed by a penalty shot in favor of Horse & Wagon, where Gaurav Sahgal turned it into the third goal for his team. Moving ahead, Pacho grabbed a difficult goal for his team that was well complemented with Daniel's move. Galloping ahead in the match, Shamsheer Ali grabbed a fantastic goal in favor of Horse & Wagon. At this, the chukker ended without any further changes.

Getting into action, the fourth chukker began in high spirits and without any changes from Rajnigandha Achievers team the proceedings of the game remained in favor of team Horse & Wagon where Shamsheer Ali bagged three goals in a row.

The last match of the day got in action at the Jindal Farms, Noida between Jindal Panther and Sujan. After a match full of speed and intensity, team Sujan evolved as winner with 9 goals to 5.5 after defeating Jindal Panther.
