THE COMMANDER’S CUP
This date every year is celebrated in the honour of Armed Forces servicemen and its veterans since 1949. It all started when the Illinois National Guards organized an indoor league at the Chicago Avenue Armory, now the Museum of Contemporary Art .

The match will be played between the Oak Brook Polo vs. Black Horse.

Polo in the United States Armed Forces can be traced back to 1892. The sport was used as a way to enhance officer horsemanship skills and helped give rise to the sport’s popularity in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
