With the first day of the Indian Masters, the 15th of November 2019 is all set for the cross semifinals, where the winning team of the first match of Day 1 will go against the losing team of match 2 and visa-versa.


Let’s find out who will make it to the finals with today’s semi finals


Match 1: Sona Polo vs Jindal Panther

The first cross semifinal started of with Sona Polo and Jindal Panther going against each other. In no time, Gerardo Mazzini took the ball and bracketed the first goal of the match in favor of Sona Polo. The match galloped ahead and the umpire called for the foul move in favor of Jindal Panther where Daniel Otamendi took the spot move. With this, both the teams stood at one goal each. The chukker after the extended half time of 90seconds went into play, whereafter in a nice solo run, Gerardo Mazzini took the second goal for his team. This was within no time followed by Mazzini’s third goal in favor of his team. As if answering back, Jindal Panther in the last 14 seconds grabbed the third goal with Otamendi.

The second chukker opened and in no time, Abhimanyu Pathak grabbed the fourth goal of the match. This was followed by two back to back goals by Jindal Panther which had Otamendi and Simran Shergill in action respectively. The chukker went ahead with the umpires calling out for a 30 yard penalty shot in favor of Sona Polo that was taken by Gerardo Mazzini.

The third chukker started off with Jindal Panther controlling the ball and at this, Salim Azmi equalized the scores with the fifth goal for his team. With this the first cross semifinals witnessed a lot of blocking, hooking, turning and chasing before the chukker went into half time. Soon after this, Gerardo Mazzini in a 30 yard penalty took the sixth goal for Sona Polo.

The fourth chukker started off with Daniel Otamendi equalising the scores with the sixth goal for Jindal Panther. This was followed by Simran Singh Shergill taking a long shot from the middle of the ground and through the goal post. With this, team Jindal Panther were in the lead. Soon after this, team Sona Polo took a penalty shot with Gerardo Mazzini on strike. This was followed by Daniel Otamendi taking another shot for Jindal Panther.

Team Sona Polo made a last minute comeback with Pacho taking the lead and grabbing the eighth goal for his team. And soon after this, as if the fate changing umpires called for 60 yard penalty in favor of Sona Polo that Mazzini took to grab the ninth goal.

The match went into extra chukker. With the anticipation building high, Jindal Panther gave Sona Polo a chance as they moved a foul play. This was followed with Gerardo Mazzini taking the 60 yard penalty and with this Sona Polo seized victory.

Match 2: Cavalry-Krishna Polo vs Rajnigandha Achievers

The second match started with Cavalry-Krishna Polo getting an advantage of 3.5 goals. The first chukker remained slow at bringing the scoreboard alive. It was only Chris Mackenzie who seized a goal in favor of his team Rajnigandha Achievers.

The second chukker started off with Chris Mackenzie again in action for his team. His contribution was complemented by Dhananjay Singh. Taking the game forward was Satinder Garcha who grabbed two back to back goals for his team. The chukker ended with Chris Mackenzie bracketing the fifth goal.

Into the third chukker, the action started with Siddhant Sharma taking the lead, which was followed by Chris Mackenzie's goal. There was still no goals from Cavalry-Krishna Polo.

The fourth chukker too remained slow with only one goal bringing the scoreboard alive with Satinder Garcha in action.

The last chukker had Satinder Garcha in action and then it was Col Ravi Rathore who grabbed the first goal for Cavalry-Krishna Polo. This was followed by Angad Kalaan's 30 yard penalty.
