The match starts as soon as the Chief Guest for the day did the throw in. Abhimanyu Pathak took the ball, but the ball went out of the boards which indicated at a free hit for Jindal Panther. Simran Shergill takes a nice clean shot but the ball goes over the goal post. Coming back in the game after halftime, the game gallops again for the rest of the proceedings but the chukker wraps at the scoreboard still at zero scores for both the teams.

The second chukker starts with more of deflection, cut shot, chasing, and running. With this, Jindal Panther team had a chance of a goal with Simran taking it through the way. Although deflected by Abhimanyu Pathak, Daniel Otamendi gripped the ball and chanced it into a goal. This was almost in a solo run taken away by Simran Shergill for another goal but was deflected by Mazzini at which the umpire did not look happy. The team Jindal Panther were awarded a 30 yard penalty that Simran Shergill took to convert into the second goal.
Soon after the shot, Sona Polo got a penalty from the middle of the ground. Abhimanyu Pathak passed the ball, Otamendi starts to control the ball and in a deflection passes it to Simran, but Pacho in a clean shot passes it through the goal post and here comes the first goal for Sona Polo. With this, Salim passes the ball to Simran and in a solo run he scores the third goal of the team.

With the start of the third chukker, team Sona Polo chases the ball and with Mazzini, the team gets its second goal. The game starts into play once again and Pacho takes a ball. Simran Shergill in a lovely manner deflects the ball from him and in a cut shot, Simran Shergill grabs another goal from Jindal Panther. The chukker stops for a half time and comes back into play with Mazzini taking hold of the ball. He hits the ball to Sunjay Kapur who strikes a lofted shot but Jindals take the lead and with Naveen Jindal hitting a long shot, the chances once again plates for the team but the ball went through the goal post. The game went once again for Sona Polo where Pacho strikes a hard long shot which goes all the way through the goal post marking the third goal for Sona Polo.

The games rolls into play once again. Abhimanyu Pathak picks up the ball, this was followed by a back hander by Simran , passing the ball to Salim. Mazzini takes the ball, and then the ball comes into play again for Simran Shergill and the opponent team attacking calls for a whistle from the umpire. Pacho hits the ball and Simran takes the lead by deflecting him, Pacho once again hits the ball in a backhander. He picks up the ball and runs through goal post but Pacho leaves the ball, Salim backhands it but Mazzini takes hold and converts into the fifth goal. With this, Sona Polo comes into lead. The next run by Simran Singh Shergill was just to equalize the score with which he brought the scoreboard to 5 goals each. The game went ahead once again in favor of Jindal Panther. Otamendi left the ball for Salim and Abby counter attacking him welcomed a whistle from the umpire. Salim Azmi took the 40 yard penalty shot but missed the chance. With this Sona Polo got the chance of hit in with Mazzini taking the chance. He passes the ball to Pacho who takes it ahead and the opponent counter attacked calling once again for a whistle from the umpire but this time in favor of Sona Polo. Mazzini takes 60 yard penalty shot and converts it into a goal.

The fifth chukker of the finals of the Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh Cup starts with penalty shot in favor of Sona Polo after Otamendi overrides Pacho. Mazzini at this takes a 40 yard penalty shot and bags the seventh goal for Sona Polo. Repeating what just happened for Sona Polo, it was this time a penalty in favor of Jindal Panther where Otamendi takes a 40 yard penalty to mark the sixth goal for Jindal Panther. The game proceeds without delay and Mazzini takes a long shot but the ball rolls out and thus marked the hit for Jindal Panther. The chukker now rested for a half time. The chukker gets in play once again with Sona Polo getting a 60 yard penalty. Mazzini sets on strike and grabs the eighth goal for Sona Polo. In the next eight seconds, Mazzini takes the ball soon after the throw in and brackets yet another goal for Sona Polo. The next move had a whistle in favor of Jindal Panther and Otamendi takes a 40 yard penalty shot getting the seventh goal for the team. The game went once again in play, Abhimanyu Pathak takes the ball unmarked followed by Pacho but soon Simran and Otamendi comes in. Otamendi takes the ball through the midway of the ground. The chukker ends for a final break with Sona Polo in lead.

Soon after the 3 min break, the finals of the Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh Cup gets ready for the final chukker. The scoreboard quickly turned to 10goals to 7 after Abhimanyu Pathak takes a solo run for the shot. This was quickly followed by a solo run once again by Mazzini. Although deflected by Salim in the end he managed to grab the eleventh goal for Sona Polo. The chukker rests for half time. It was now a phase where something really remarkable had to come from Jindal Panther to name victory to themselves. The chukker sees a little more moves but ends at it this in favor of Sona Polo
