The first day of the Bhopal-Pataudi Cup 2019 had only one match scheduled for the day where the Navy and 61 Cavalry came against each other. With the mood of the players contented to easy-breezy, the inaugural day had an air of free spirit.

The match started with team Navy getting an advantage of 4 goals according to the rules of Polo. This match started but in no time Lt Cdr K Rathee had a fall from his pony. Fortunately, both the player and the pony were safe and healthy. The match resumed soon after the change of the pony, after which both the teams got into action, and with Col. Ravi Rathore securing the first goal of the match, the field had the game rolling in. This was followed by Lt Col Vishal Chauhan’s attempt for the second goal but team Navy saved it well, but not close enough to stop Col Ravi Rathore from taking the chance and scoring the second goal. After the half time of the match once again saw Col Ravi Rathore in action back to back twice.

The second chukker of the match had two quick shots with Lt Col Vishal Chauhan and Gnr Irfan Khan in action for grabbing one goal each for their team respectively. This was again followed by another goal by Maj Aman Singh's detailed contribution towards his team that had the scoreboard at 7 for their team. This was complemented by one more goal by him. The 61 Cavalry went on board with yet another goal by Lt Col Vishal Chauhan.

It was time to get on with the third chukker of the first match of the Bhopal-Pataudi cup. The match got on with yet another goal in favor of 61 Cavalry which had Col Ravi Rathore in action. The chukker went into halftime and had only one goal ahead of it with Lt Col Vishal Chauhan in action.
