On the final day of HH Maharaja of Jodhpur cup tournament, Sahara Warriors faced Jodhpur polo in a thrilling match which was held at Maharaja Gaj Singh sports foundation polo ground, Airport road, Pabupura.
Maharaja Gaj Singh and Rajmata Padmini Devi started the match by throwing in the ball, and later gave away the awards and the cup to the winning team at the end of the match. The match was dominated by two players - Maharaja H H Padmanabh Singh and Dhruvpal Godara, both scoring six and five goals respectively for their teams.
Godara scored one in the first chukker, and two goals each in the second and third chukker. For Sahara warriors, Maharaja H H Padmanabh Singh scored one goal each in the first and third chukkers, and scored two both in the second and fourth chukker. The Mehrangarh band entertained the spectators during and after the match. Simran Shergill and Ignacio Fernandez Lorrent were the match umpires , while Uday Kalan was the match referee.
Maharaja H H Padmanabh Singh’s pony - Small Fellow was given the best pony award.
