Indian Navy Inaugurated The First Match Of RMRM Gold Cup

 

 

 

The fresh sunny day at the AEC Ground no 2 welcomed the polo players from teams Horse & Wagon and Indian Navy to play off the first match of the RMRM Gold Cup. The match started off with the Indian Navy team with an advantage of 4 goals. Team Horse & Wagon had to match up to that advantage to get into the lead.

The first chukker began with Indian Navy at an advantage. Raghav Rao Yadav from Horse & Wagon grabbed the first goal in no time. Moving ahead with pace, he grabbed another goal for his team. The chukker moved ahead and the difference of goals started to shorten. With the Indian Navy fighting hard, they flawed a move where after team Horse & Wagon were granted a Short Hit. The hit was taken by Buchi Prakash. The scores after this goal were 3 goals to 4 of Indian Navy. The chukker rushed towards the end but soon Indian Navy made a false move that had Horse & Wagon in advantage with a 30 yard penalty. The chukker rested at this with both the teams at an equivalent score.

The chukker came into play. Both the teams, Indian Navy and Horse & Wagon got into a quick play with a lot of moves and turns. But till the half chukker, the scoreboard remained with the same scores as it was at the end of the first chukker. The chukker ended up with the same score.

Third chukker started off with Horse & Wagon grabbing the fifth goal with Salim Azmi in action. With this, the team was able to move ahead of Indian Navy team. Moving ahead with the game, Raghav Rao Yadav bracketed the sixth goal for his team Horse & Wagon against Indian Navy team.

The last and the final chukker of the first match of the RMRM Gold Cup. The chukker witnessed Basheer Ali in action for the seventh goal for his team. Maj Anant Rajpurohit from Indian Navy had the first goal for the team. Moving ahead, in a splendid move Maj Anant Rajpurohit grabbed yet another goal for the team. With 4 goals as an advantage and two with an effort, team Indian Navy managed to have 6 goals in total. Answering it was Basheer Ali who grabbed the eighth goal for his team.
