Rovinj Beach Polo Cup, in only 3 years of its existence, has already become an important event in the world polo calendar. It has made Rovinj a significant destination for all polo aficionados, including the Maharaja of Jaipur who was sporting a Franck Dubarry jersey at this year’s edition.
The 3rd Rovinj Beach Polo Cup 2018, played from 8th to 10th June 2018, had 6 teams, consisting of players from 12 countries, riding 60 Argentine ponies. The tournament was played on the Porton Biondi beach in Rovinj, Croatia and is the only sand polo tournament played in this part of the world.

The spectators not only witnessed thrilling beach polo action, but also enjoyed a polo parade and was culminated with a concert by the British disco pop queen, Sophie Ellis Bextor.
For the first time, evening matches were organised under the lights with the old Rovinj town in the backdrop.
Playing in the final on 10th June were Team Adris from the host company ‘Adris’ and Team Miller. The hosts, having Guillermo Steta, Juan Clemente Marambio, Bruce and Davis Colley in their squad beat Team Miller 7 goals to 4.5 to clinch the 3rd Rovinj Beach Polo Cup title.
