The Delhi Polo Season after the grand victory of Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh Cup 2019 is ready to welcome the next 14 goal tournament, the Indian Masters. The first day had two matches destined for the day.


Match 1: Sona Polo vs Cavalry-Krishna Polo

Team Cavalry-Krishna Polo was granted an advantage of 1.5 goals. The match went into action soon after the umpire did the throw-in. In no time, Abhimanyu Pathak took the ball under his control and bagged the first goal of the match. This had both the teams in the centre once again and with yet another throw in Cavalry Krishna Polo seized the ball in which Col Ravi Rathore bagged the first goal for his team. This was followed by Pacho taking a long solo run soon after which Sona Polo had two goals in their basket.


The match stopped for the change of ponies.


The second half of the chukker did not see any other goal. It was only in the last seconds where Sawai Padmanabh Singh in a nice and clean cut shot seized the third goal for Sona Polo.

The second chukker opened with a 60 yard penalty shot in favor of Sona Polo which was taken by Gerardo Mazzini. This was followed by Abby taking yet another goal for his team. Quickly complementing the two shots, Pacho took a long run to seize the sixth goal for the team.


Getting back into the game, team Cavalry-Krishna Polo seized control of the ball where Col Ravi Rathore grabbed the second goal for the team. But the applause was short lived as Sawai Padmanabh Singh took yet another goal for his team.

The third chukker opened once again with a 30 yard penalty in favor of Sona Polo which was taken by Gerardo Mazzini in favor of the team. The move was quickly followed by a 40 yard penalty shot in favor of Cavalry-Krishna Polo that was taken by Col Ravi Rathore in favor of the team. Complementing the strike, Lt Col Vishal Chauhan took another long solo run bracketing a goal for the team. This was followed by Pacho taking a long solo run to seize another goal for Sona Polo. This was once again followed by Pacho in grabbing the goal. The chukker went ahead in full speed and then stopped in favor of Sona Polo for a 30 yard penalty that Mazzini grabbed in for the team.

The fourth chukker started off with a penalty shot in favor of Cavalry-Krishna Polo that Col Ravi Rathore took for the team. This was quickly followed by Abby taking the twelfth goal for his team. In no time, team Sona Polo witnessed the thirteenth goal with Padmanabh Singh in action. The chukker witnessed Sona Polo on strike once again with Gerardo Mazzini taking the lead in favor of his team. Rolling ahead, the chukker witnessed two back to back goals with Abhimanyu Pathak on strike.

The last chukker of match had Sunjay Kapur in action at 40 yard penalty. This was followed by Col Ravi Rathore in action and once again Sunjay Kapur on strike. The match ended in favor of Sona Polo.

Match 2: Jindal Panther vs Rajnigandha Achievers

The second match started off with the first chukker rolling and in no time, team Rajnigandha Achievers had their first goal with Chris Mackenzie on strike. This was followed by a penalty shot in favor of Jindal Panther where from the 60yard, Simran Shergill took a nice clean shot in favor of the team. The chukker galloped ahead with both the teams keeping the pace neck to neck. While the first was just about to end, Chris Mackenzie from Rajnigandha Achievers seized the second goal for his team.

The second chukker of the match got along with Rajnigandha Achievers in lead with Chris Mackenzie on strike twice. He grabbed two goals for his team. This was followed by a 30 yard penalty in favor of Rajnigandha Achievers that was taken by Chris Mackenzie for his team. With this, Rajnigandha Achievers were leading with 5 goals against 1.

The third chukker started off Dhananjay Singh taking the first goal of the chukker. This was followed by Simran Shergill taking the next shot. The game stopped soon after this as Simran Shergill got injured.


The match started off with Dhruvpal Godara replacing Simran Shergill. In no time, Dhruvpal Godara bagged the third goal for Jindal Panther in form of 60 yard penalty.

The fourth chukker had in action Dhruvpal Godara at 30 yard penalty. This was followed by a goal from Rajnigandha Achievers with Dhananjay Singh on strike. This was followed by Chris Mackenzie on strike for his team.

The last chukker did not see any more change in the scoreboard until the half time. After this, Chris Mackenzie had the reins of his horses tight and changed the chance into the ninth goal. This was answered by Dhruvpal Godara from Jindal Panther. This was complemented with Daniel Otamendi grabbing the sixth goal for the team.
