HH MAHARAJA SAWAI BHAWANI SINGH CUP: DAY 1

T

he first match was held on 23rd January 2018 at 11:00 am at the RPC Ground between Garcha Hotels and Krishna Polo/Valiant Explorers. In the first chukker, The Garcha Hotel’s player Dhananjay Singh scored the first goal in the first chukker followed by Manuel Fernazed followed by Satinder Garcha scoring another goal by the end of the chukker leading over the other team by 3 goals. In the second chukker, Vishal Singh scored his second goal for the Krishna Polo/Valiant Explorers followed by Manuel Fernadez scoring a goal for the Garcha Hotels with the final score of 4-1 ( Garcha leading over Krishna/Valiant ). In the third chukker, Vishal Singh scored his second goal for Krishna Polo/Valiant Explorers followed by Salim Azmi scoring a goal for with the score of 4-3 by the end of the third chukker. In the final chukker, Satinder Garcha and Dhananjay Singh scoring a goal each for Garcha Hotel and Krishna/Valiant player Vishal Singh scored one. The winning goal was made by Satinder Garcha with the final score of 7-4 with Garcha Hotels winning the match by 3 goals.

The second match was held between Rajnigandha Achievers and Mumbai Polo/Benaz Corporation. In the first chukker, Simran Shergill scored the first goal for Mumbai Polo/Benaz Corporation leading by 1 goal over the other team. In the second chukker, Matthew Perry scored the first goal for Rajnigandha achievers and Simran Shergill scored his second goal for Mumbai Polo/Benaz Corporation leading by 1 goal. In the third chukker, Simran Shergill scored his third goal for Mumbai Polo/Benaz Corporation whereas Siddhant Sharma scored a goal for Rajnigandha Achievers with the final score of 3-2 with Mumbai Polo leading over the other team by the difference of a goal. In the final chukker, Siddhant Sharma scored his second goal for RajniGandha achievers while Abhimanyu Pathak scored a goal for the rival team with the final score of 4-3 ( Mumbai Polo/ Benaz Corporation) winning the match by the difference of a goal.

The third match was held on the same day at the Cavalry Ground between Chandna Group and Kanota/Polo Inn & Suites. The majority of the goals for the Chandna Group were scored by players such as Samir Suhag(4 goals), Ashok Chandna (2 goals), Vandit Golechha ( 1 goal) and Pierre Henri Ngoumou(1 goal). The majority of the goals for the Kanota/Polo Inn & Suites were scored by players such as Angad Kalaan(2 goals), Tarun Bilwal, Kuldeep Singh Rathore and Pratap Singh Kanota respectively scored a goal respectively. The final score was 8-5.5 ( Chandna Group and Kanota/Polo Inn & Suites respectively) with the former winning the match.

The final match was held on the same day at the Cavalry Ground between Piramal Polo and 61 Cavalry. The majority of the goals for the Piramal Polo were scored by Dhruvpal Godara( 4 goals), Raghav Rao (3 goals), Shamsher Ali(4 goals) and Harsh Piramal ( 1 goal). The majority of the goals for the 61 Cavalry were scored by players Bhawani Kalvi ( 2 goals) and Pranav Kapur ( 3 goals). The final score was 12-5 with Piramal Polo winning the match with a difference of 7 goals.
