Under the patronage of Maj Thakur Sardar Singh Ji Jasol Memorial Cup was played today under the Jodhpur Polo Season 2017
Around 2:30 pm, Malani Warriors defeated Jasol Tigers by four goals to two. During the match Jodhpur Polo and the Chief Benefactor of the Equestrian Club Institution, Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji and Bharat Singh Ji were present in the field of Jasol ground, who initiated the game by throwing the ball whereas jointly they awarded cups and trophies to the winning players. Malani Warriors came out winners in the Major Thakur Sardar Singh Ji Jasol Memorial Cup.
Colonel Ummed Singh, The Honorary Secretary of Jodhpur Polo and the Equestrian Club Institution said that the Malani Warriors team had commanded the match right from the start. In the first, second and third chukkers of the match, Hemandra singh scored one goal each and Lt Col Ashish Samantray scored one goal in the second chukker.
Janmajay Singh and Dhananjay Singh of Jasol Tigers team scored one goal each in the fourth and final chukker. This team could not score any goals in the last three chukkers. Before the match as well as during the match, the Mehrangarh band and the Rajputana Rifles Pipe Band of the Army played music that was melodious and pleasing invoking sportsmanship and excitement amongst crowd.
Vijay Singh, the match's commentator, the match umpire Major Narendra Kumar and Major Gautam and Referee Major General N.S. Rajpurohit were present as well.
