MAYO DEFEATS BPD I IN THE BRITISH POLO DAY EXHIBITION MATCH AT THE 20th JODHPUR POLO SEASON 2019!
An intense battle between both teams was witnessed with Mayo emerging as the winners!
The British Polo Day, First Exhibition match, 20th Jodhpur Polo Season, 2019 was played at Maharaja Gaj Singh Sports Foundation Polo Ground, Jodhpur between Mayo and BPD I. The beautiful day at Jodhpur witnessed an energetic welcome Band performance, Vintage Collection of Cars and a thrilling match. The players were introduced by Col. Simon Ledger, the commentator for the match as BPD I in black was ready to take on Mayo in the famous traditional Marwari Pachranga (consisting of five colors) jerseys. Mr. Nicholas Scortichini was the umpire and Mr. Alan Fall was the referee for the match.

The match started with a +1.5 handicap lead for Mayo. Both teams started off the match in high spirits tussling out each other from end to end. Both sides were too stubborn to let the other score, consequently witnessing an all defense show, no goal was scored from either team in the first chukker. The second chukker gripped the attack from both teams. The Marques de Sardanola Jose Luis Trenor and Stefan Sund both scored one goal each for BPD I. Kr. Yogeshwar Singh scored his first for the Mayo as tackling through quickly and skillfully Kr. Pratap Singh Kanota scored two goals for Mayo to set the lead on the scoreboard at the end of third chukker by:

The battle was on in full zeal in the fourth and final chukker. Eddie Horsewell and The Marques de Sardanola Jose Luis Trenor adding one goal each for BPD I.
