MONTY WATERBURY CUP FINALS
The 20-goal Monty Waterbury Cup came to an end with finals on Sunday being played between Postage Stamp Farm (Will Tomita, Brandon Phillips, Joao Ganon and Kris Kampsen) and Airstream (Peter Holowesko, Marcos Garcia Del Rio, Tomas Garcia Del Rio and Tommy Biddle).

The Monty Waterbury Cup is the third oldest official USPA trophy in active competition, named in honor of 10-goal polo immortal James “Monty” Waterbury. Although Airstream was a worthy competitor, the cup was hoisted by Postage Stamp Farm.

There was a lot delay in the match due to rainfall, but the heavy rainfall at the start of the game did not prevent Airstream from gaining an early lead, scoring three goals in the first chukker keeping Postage Stamp Farm scoreless. After half-time, without losing hope, the Postage Stamp farm organized their efforts with a field goal from Ganon.

2 Goals from Kampsen helped Postage Stamp to take a 7-4 lead against Airstream. Fifth chukker play favored Airstream as Tommy Biddle scored a field goal followed by a Penalty 2 conversion, answered by a solitary goal from Ganon. But all the efforts from Airstream were not enough to stop Postage Stamp as they went on to win the match with the final score being 9-7.

Most Valuable Player went to Joao Paulo Ganon and Best Playing Pony was awarded to Machitos Bonanza, played by Brandon Phillips and owned by Postage Stamp Farm.
