Pakistan's Capital Smart City Polo Cup Concludes With An Epic Finale
In a match much anticipated by the Polo fans of Pakistan, the strong teams of Master Paints Black and FG Polo Team/Master Paints collided in the Capital Smart City Polo Cup final. The grand event took place at the Lahore Polo Club on Sunday. Federal Minister Hammad Azhar graced the final as chief guest and distributed shields and trophies among the winners. Senator Waleed Iqbal, former Lahore Polo Club President Haye Mehta, executive committee member Usman Haye, Capital Smart City chairman Zahid Rafiq, and others were also present on the occasion.

Under the supervision of field umpires Agha Murtaza and Agha Musa, the game kicked off.

Right from the beginning of the match Sufi M Amir, Raja Temur Nadeem and Ahmed Ali Tiwana displayed tremendous play and they took the lead due to their strong cohesive play by scoring twice in quick succession. FG Polo/Master Paints worked more efficiently as they bested their opponents in the 2nd and the 3rd chukker, capturing a slim 3-2 lead. FG Polo/Master Paints’ Hissam Hyder displayed an excellent offensive game, scoring two goals while Shah Shamyl also added one goal. But before the conclusion of the 3rd chukker, Master Paints Black registered a hat trick of goals and ended up commanding a 5-3 lead going into the final chukker of the game.

The early part of the 4th chukker saw Master Paints Black extending their lead via a 30-yard penalty conversion. A late comeback mounted by Hissam and Shah Shamyl (who scored one goal apiece) saw FG Polo/Master Paints crawling back in the game but ultimately their late attempts proved to be futile as Master Paints Black was able to close the show with 6-5 and clinched the title.
