Stepping Into The Semi Finals Of Army Commander’s Polo Cup 2019

The Commander’s Cup steps into the semi-finals of the tournament on October 5 at the Cavalry Polo Ground.


The semi finals for the tournament will have two matches at 3:30 and 4:30 pm. The first match will see Rajnigandha Achievers fighting against Carysil Mumbai, while the second match will witness Think Ink Communications battling against 61 Cavalry, to eventually get a place in the final.

Chukker 1

The first chukker for the second match has begun and we have the first goal for 61 Cavalry . The scores are 0-1 in favour for 61 Cavalry. We have an equalizer by Angad Kalaan. Half of the chukker is gone with both teams at 1. Only 30 seconds are left for the chukker and we have the goal by Ravi Rathore. This wraps up the first chukker.

Chukker 2

Second chukker is now rolling. The is getting more and more energetic with each passing minute. 61 Cavalry is on the lead by 3 goals as Ravi Rathore got the third and fourth goal, back to back. The team is dominating the field and the match with a lead of 4 goals as Dhananjay hits in the fifth goal ! The final hooter has been sounded for the chukker and the scores are -

Chukker 3

The third chukker is now in action. Game is one-sided as 61 Cavalry is weighing more on the scoreboard. We are into half time the third chukker and Think Ink Communications welcome the second goal. The chukker ends with Shamsheer Ali getting the third goal.

Chukker 4

The final chukker is into action and we have the seventh goal by Irfan for team 61 Cavalry. We are into halftime for the fourth chukker
Team Cavalry leads the way by 8 goals to 5 by the opposite team. As a result, 61 Cavalry becomes the second team to pace its way into the Final for Army Commander's Polo Cup 2019.

Chukker 1

The ball has been rolled for the first chukker. The very first goal for the match is welcomed by Rajnigandha Achievers as Daniel hits it through. We are into halftime for the first chukker and the scoreboard is on 1-0, in favour for Rajnigandha Achievers. We have an equalizer by Basheer Ali, bringing the score to 1 all. With this the first chukker comes to an end.

Chukker 2

The ball is rolling for the second chukker and we have Rajnigandha Achievers getting their second goal for the match. The scoreboard is now on 3-1 in favour for Team Rajnigandha.
The ponies are gathered near the goalpost and Pacho hits a beautiful shot bringing the 4th goal. The second goal for Carysil Mumbai is bagged by Basheer Ali. Team Rajnigandha is leading the way by 3 goals as the fifth goal is bagged by Pacho. By the end of the chukker Rajnigandha Achievers got their sixth goal.

Chukker 3

The third Chukker gets life by Daniel's goal, taking the score for Rajnigandha Achievers to 7. The first half of the chukker is over and the has become sided by now as Team Rajnigandha is leading with a score of 8 to 2 by Carysil Mumbai. There are no changes on the scoreboard for the second half of the chukker and the hooter has been sounded ending the third chukker.

Chukker 4

Basheer Ali gets the third goal for his team and first for the fourth chukker. The horses are galloping forward, chasing the ball, a brilliant hit by Pacho gets him the ninth goal for the team. The first half of the final chukker is over and the scores are 9-3 in favour for Rajnigandha Achievers. The chukker ends with Carysil Mumbai getting 2 goals back to back but still, Rajnigandha Achievers gets the victory.
