Day 2 of the HQ 61 Sub Area Polo Cup (08 goals)

Jaipur, Rajasthan – The HQ 61 Sub Area Polo Cup started on 24th September. The tournament is being played at the 61 Cavalry Polo Club. Four matches were played on second day of the Cup. A lot of polo action was in-store and the matches were quite intense and aggressive.




Rajnigandha Achievers Vs Mustangs
The first match of the day was played between Rajnigandha Achievers and Mustangs. Rajnigandha Achievers played with Cote Zegers (+5), Salim Azmi (+3), Pranav Kapur (+2) and Sangram Singh (-2). Mustangs had Ransher Singh (+2), Tarun Bilwal (+2), Raghav Rao (+1) and Vishu Bhati (+1) playing for them. The match started on a score of 1.5 – 0 with Mustangs given the lead as they were playing with a total of +6 handicap.
Rajnigandha Achievers completely dominated the match and scored a total of 10 goals in the match. Mustangs were only able to score 2 goals and ended on a score of 3.5 as they had a lead of 1.5. Mustangs lost to Rajnigandha Achievers by 10 – 3.5.

Bake House Café Vs Anchors Polo

 

The second match of the day was played between Bake House Café and Anchors Polo. Bake House Café played with Basheer Ali (+5), Vicky Nihalani (+2), Sunny Patel (+1) and Nasir Jamal (-1). Anchors Polo had Akhil Sirohi (+3), AP Singh (+2), K Rathee (-2) and DJ Singh (+2) playing for them. The match started on a score of 1.5 – 0 with Mustangs given the lead as they were playing with a total of +6 handicap. Bake House Café played with a total of +7 handicap and Anchors Polo played with +5 handicap. Anchors Polo were given a lead of 1.5 before the match, so the match started on a score of 1.5 – 0.

Bake House Café were all over the game and played a brilliant game of Polo. They scored 9 goals in the match and Anchors Polo were able to score only 5 goals in the match. With an extra lead of 1.5 points, Anchors Polo were able to finish the game with a score of 6.5. Bake House Café won the match by 9 – 6.5.

Mumbai Polo Vs LA Pegasus Polo Titans

 

The third match of the day saw Mumbai Polo play against LA Pegasus Polo Titans. Mumbai Polo played with Abhimanyu Pathak (+5), HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh (+3), Shyam Mehta (0) and Dhananjai Singh (0). LA Pegasus Polo Titans had Simran Shergill (+6), Uday Kalaan (+3), Krishna Inkiya (+1) and Ranshay Purohit (-2) playing for them. Both the teams played with a total of +8 handicap.
It was a close match but Mumbai Polo had the upper hand and they were good enough to win the match. Mumbai Polo scored 8 goals in the match and LA Pegasus Polo Titans were able to score only 4 goals. Mumbai Polo team won the match by 8-4.

The fourth match of the day saw Krishna Polo play against Chandna Group polo team. Krishna Polo played with Vandit Golecha (0), Ashwani Sharma (0), Sameer Suhag (+5) and Vishal Singh (+3). Chandna Group polo team had Sanjay Jakhar (-2), Ashok Chandna (+1), Gaurav Seghal (+3) and Gerardo Mazzini (+6) playing for them. Both the teams played with a total of +8 handicap.

It was an intense match with not many goals scored in the game. Both the teams were dominating but Chandna Group Polo team had the upper hand and they were able to win the match by a goal. Chandna Group polo team scored 5 goals in the match and Krishna Polo were able to score only 4 goals. Chandna Group Polo team won the match by 5-4.
