Tortugas Open 2019 Begins

The Board of Directors of the Argentine Polo Association announced the dates of the upcoming 2019 Triple Crown in Argentina, due to start on October 8 with the Tortugas Open and will come to an end on December 14, with the final of the 126th. Argentine Polo Open Championship, at Palermo. The world’s highest average handicap Polo Championship , Tortugas is the traditional tournament of the Tortugas Country Club. The Club located in the town of Tortuguitas, was founded 85 years ago and is an icon Polo history. The Tortugas Open will be the first link of Argentine Triple Crown, which will be completed by Hurlingham and Palermo opens. Eight teams of between 30 to 40 valuation goals will participate – La Dolfina Sancor Seguros(40), Ellerstina (39), Las Monjitas (38), La Aguada (32), La Albertina Abu Dhabi(32), Cria Yatay(32), La Dolfina Polo Ranch (32), and La Ensenada (30). Among the Polistas, the presence of all players with 10 handicap stands out today as- Adolfo Cambiaso , Facundo Pieres, Pablo Pieres, Nicolas Pieres, Juan Martin Nero, Pablo Mac Donough, Hilario Ulloa, Guillermo Caset and the Uruguayan David Stirling. In this edition, the tournament will consist of 10 matches and will be played under a direct elimination format that will include a subsidiary final, in addition to the final of the Open for the Emilio de Anchorena Cup.
