U.S. OPEN WOMEN’S POLO CHAMPIONSHIP COMMENCES
The tournament, a testament to the massive increase in the number of women members in the USPA, has provided a unique opportunity for the ladies involved in the sport.
The tournament started it’s course on 7th November at the Houston Polo Club, in Houston, Texas.
The first match featured San Saba and Rocking P Lockton, two clubs with fine players.
And the quality of the match was at par with the quality of the players as the Rocking P Lockton defeated San Saba in an intensely fought battle.
The day ended with the final score of Game 1 being :
San Saba. 5 - 8 Rocking P Lockton.
The next match saw Rocking P go head to head with USPA on November 9th.
Another set of incredibly talented sportswomen. And the match did not disappoint as the Rocking P overpowered the USPA , in a thrilling contest.
The final score after Game 2 looked like :
Rocking P. 9 - 3 USPA.
With 2 thrilling match days already having already entertained the spectators , the same was expected from Game 3 of the tournament and it did not disappoint.
Game 3 saw San Saba take on Team USPA on November 10th.
San Saba came on top as they outwitted their opponents by a margin of three goals.
The final score at the end of Game 3 was :
San Saba 6-3 Team USPA
The first 3 games have set the tone for the rest of the tournament and let’s hope we witness similar action in the upcoming matches as well.
