Jaipur Polo Season did not stop with just three tournaments. After a series of fantastic tournaments, the pink city welcomed the 10 Goal Army CDR's Polo Cup with five teams divided into two pools.

What Happened At The 10 Goal Army CDR's Polo Cup?

DAY 1

Though the Jaipur Polo Season is marching towards the end, there’s still a lot of action left. 

The Pink City inaugurated the 10 goals Army Commanders Cup on 21st September 2021 at the Rajasthan Polo Club with an exhilarating match played between Achievers Golden Globe and Rajnigandha Achievers. 

 

Vandit Golechha scored three goals and one goal each was added by Daniel Otamendi and L'Nk Ravinder Mang for Rajnigandha Achievers. For Achievers Golden Globe, Andres Vial struck 5 goals, Ashok Chandna, Hurr Ali and Siddhant Sharma contributed one goal each. 

 

The two teams went neck to neck but with Chilean champ Andres Vial in full action, Achievers Golden Globe seized the day with 8 goals to 5.

 

DAY 2

 

The second day of the Army CDR’s Polo cup scheduled for 22nd September 2021 witnessed two matches back to back. 

The first match held at Cavalry grounds had Achievers Golden Globe playing against Rajnigandha Achievers. The match started off with a 3 goal advantage for Achievers Golden Globe for their previous game scores maintaining their lead in the game. Daniel Otamendi struck 3 goals accompanied with 2 goals by Vandit Golechha. For Achievers Golden Globe, Andres Vial scored 4 goals and two goals were contributed by Siddhant Sharma for their victory. 

 

The second match scheduled for the day had Bedla/ Los Polistas playing against V Polo. Due to heavy downpour the match had been called off and a penalty shoot out was organised in which Bedla/ Los Polistas came out victorious with 2 goals to 1.

 

DAY 3

On 23rd September 2021, the 10 goal Army CDR’s Cup witnessed a gripping match between 61st Cavalry and V Polo at the Cavalry ground. 

For team V Polo, Sawai Padmanabh Singh struck three goals accompanied with two goals by Naveen Singh and one goal by Vicky Nahlani bringing the tally to 6.5 but with Dhruvpal Godara in full gallop this season, struck 6 goals for 61st Cavalry, two goals added by Maj Aman Singh and Shamsheer Ali contributed one goal for their team. With the scoreboard reading 6.5 goals to 9, 61st Cavalry marched towards victory.

 

DAY 4

The Army CDR’s Polo cup witnessed another action packed match on 24.09.2021 played between Bedla/Los Polistas and 61st Cavalry at the Cavalry ground, Jaipur. Col Ravi Rathore scored three goals accompanied with two goals by Lance Watson and one goal added by Kuldeep Singh Rathore. Though the action remained neck to neck throughout, making it uncertain on who would seize the day, the final chukker turned out to be in favour of Bedla/Los Polistas. For the 61st Cavalry, Dhruvpal Godara and Shamsheer Ali struck two goals for their team but unfortunately fell short in the end, making way for Bedla/Los polistas towards victory with scores 6 goals to 4.

 

DAY 5

Four teams, two spots, tight grip and close calls! This pretty much sums up the semi finale of Army CDR’s Cup. 

On 26th September 2021 Jaipur Polo Season witnessed the semi finals of the 10 goals Army CDR’s Polo Cup. For the day we had two action packed matches scheduled one after the other, both at the Cavalry grounds. 

The first match scheduled for the day was played between Rajnigandha Achievers and Bedla/Los Polistas. Daniel Otamendi scored 5 goals added by one goal each by Dhananjai Singh and L'Nk Ravindra Mang for the Rajnigandha Achievers. The teams went neck to neck with the scoreboard reading out close scores for both the teams. But unfortunately Rajnigandha Achievers fell short on one goal and Bedla/Los Polistas made it to the finals. Three goals each scored by Col Ravi Rathore and Himmat Singh Bedla and two goals were contributed by Lance Watson for their victory. 

The second battle for the finals witnessed another neck to neck action between 61st Cavalry and Achievers Golden Globe. 

Dhruvpal Godara struck 4 goals for 61st Cavalry but with three goals scored by Andres Vial accompanied with another two goals by Siddhant Sharma, it was Achievers Golden Globe who emerged victorious with 5 goals to 4.

 

FINALE

As the Pink City witnessed the finale of the 10 goals Army CDR’s Polo Cup on 27th Sept’21, the Jaipur Polo season came to an end after four weeks of amazing action. 

The final battle was held between Achievers Golden Globe and Bedla/Los Polistas at the Cavalry grounds. 

For Achievers Golden Globe, Chilean champ Andres Vial scored 4 goals accompanied with 2 goals by Ashok Chandna and one goal by Hurr Ali bringing the tally to 7. 

Lance Watson, Himmat Singh Bedla, Kuldeep Singh Rathore and Col Ravi Rathore, portraying great teamwork scored 2 goals each for bedla/Los polistas to come out victorious.
